We excel in managing disorders and acute injuries of the muscles, bones, joints, and spine, including arthritis, with new and innovative non-surgical and surgical approaches. We also care for patients who suffer from overuse syndromes, and recurrent pain, including neck and back injuries. We value our patient's time. Our goal is to see patients as close to their appointment time as possible.

The priority for our practice is to return all patients to their desired level of activity.

MY COMMITMENT TO THE PATIENT: We are dedicated to excellence in assisting serious/ recreational athletes, as well as injured non-athletes to achieve the highest level of health and performance. The injured worker is treated just like an athlete, with emphasis on fast, accurate diagnosis, aggressive treatment and rehabilitation.

Dr. Stockard was the Chief of Sports Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Center in Fort Worth for 13 years. He was most recently an Associate Professor in the Discipline of Sports Medicine at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Team Physician at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA

Any sports-related medical problems; Evaluation & correction of muscles disorders that limit an athlete’s performance; Acute athletic or occupational injuries including sprains, strains, simple fractures & lacerations; Exercise prescriptions including strength/conditioning programs and performance analysis; Pre-participation athletic physicals; Pre-employment physicals;  Consultations for return to play/work decisions after illness or injury; Muscles pain including arthritis, overuse injuries and neck and back pain of less than 6 months duration; Joint injections and other injection modalities as indicated; Concussion management; Osteopathic manipulative medicine; Occupational injuries:  The injured worker is treated just like an athlete, with emphasis on fast, accurate diagnosis, aggressive treatment, and rehabilitation.  We try to return workers as soon as possible with appropriate restrictions that protect him/her from further injury.

THINGS I ENJOY ABOUT PATIENT CARE:
I enjoy people in general, of all ages. When a person has muscles pain, their quality of life is affected and it is very gratifying to see patients improve in function and activity level whether it is a high school athlete, professional athlete, little leaguer or Senior Citizen. Life is better when we are physically able to do the things we enjoy.
