Pediatric Therapy

Pediatric patients require special care. The Pediatric Therapy Program at FIT-N-WISE Rehabilitation Center offers children and families the opportunity to stay close to home and receive outstanding quality holistic care in a timely manner. As a team, our therapists work closely with families, physicians and school therapists. We are equipped with specialized pediatric equipment and therapists in each discipline (Occupational, Aquatic, Physical and Speech Therapy) to work with these special infant to adolescent patients. We are committed to meeting their needs.

Our therapists are experienced and trained in treating the following diagnoses:

• Developmental Disabilities, i.e. Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, gross and fine motor delays, autism and pervasive developmental delays, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida;
• Recent Onset Injuries, i.e. traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, etc.
• Oral Motor Problems, i.e. difficulties with feeding and swallowing or articulation disorders;
• Regulatory Disorders, i.e. hypersensitivity to touch/texture/noise, decreased reaction to pain stimuli;
• Comprehension Deficits, i.e. difficulties with understanding language in quiet and noisy situations.
