At Wise Regional Health System, we are proud to offer you a medical staff of ACR Board Certified Radiologists and ARRT Registered Radiological Technologists in the fields of General Ragiography, Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography and Quality Management. The Radiology Department offers a wide variety of inpatient, outpatient and emergency/trauma services including:

• General X-Rays (chest, abdominal, bone, extremeties, etc.)
• Diagnostic X-Ray procedures with digital fluoroscopic imaging ( urinary imaging, gastrointestinal imaging, etc.)
• Special procedures (myelogram, venogram, arthrogram)
• Interventional procedures (nephrostomy, CT guided biopsy, CT guided aspirations, etc.)
• CT scans of the brain, chest, abdomen pelvis, extremeties and spine (three dimensional and multi-planar reconstructions are available to the physicians when needed)
• Ultrasound services for various studies, guided biopsies and guided aspirations
• Nuclear medicine imaging including thyroid uptake measurement, bone imaging, gallbladder (HIDA) scans, renal captopril challenge studies, ventilation and perfusion lung scans, and gastrointestinal bleeding scans

The outpatient imaging facility on the second floor of the East Campus at Wise Regional Health System provides a convenient and private setting for outpatient mammography and general studies.

Mammography Services

Did you know that breast cancer is the second leading form of fatal cancer in women? Fortunately, it is preventable with early detection. The National Cancer Institute recommends an annual mammogram after the age of 40. Many physicians recommend a baseline mammogram at age 35. At Wise Regional Health System, we provide a full range of diagnostic procedures, including mammography, in a private setting to help your doctor keep you healthy. Most insurance companies cover an annual exam at no charge to the patient and it does not require a referral.

Our outpatient radiology facilities are conveniently located in the East campus of Wise Regional Health System on the second floor just outside of the elevators. We are accredited with the American College of Radiology, the Texas Department of Health and the Food and Drug Administration.
