We also have a program based on the WorkSTEPS protocols for employment testing and Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs). Employment testing can reduce work place injury incidence and, consequently, greatly reduce costs incurred with employee injuries. Employment testing includes post-offer employment testing and post employment/fit for duty testing. These tests prove to be beneficial to both the employer and potential employee in that the goal is to match the physical demand levels of the job to the physical capabilities of the employee. For the employee who has been injured, we can do functional capacity evaluations which reflect the physical capabilities of that person. This information can be useful as a baseline when entering a Work Hardening Program which is designed to get the employee back to gainful employment.
