Volunteer Opportunities |
 WRHS has enjoyed its success in large part due to the efforts of gracious men and women who have given freely of their time and energy for the past 27 years. Our growing family of dedicated volunteers is currently over 75 members strong. As WRHS is not tax supported, the effective efforts of the auxiliary represent a crucial component in providing cost-effective care. Through proceeds from sales in the gift shop, vending machines, quilt sales, holiday store and baby photo sales, the auxiliary is able to contribute funds to the hospital for the purchase of equipment and furnishings that help provide our patients with the highest standards of care and aesthetically pleasing surroundings. Volunteers also play an important role in making our patients and their families feel as comfortable as possible in their special time of need. There are many volunteer opportunities currently available. The hours and days worked are tailored to meet your schedule. Although we are grateful to our volunteers every day, WRHS shows special appreciation to the auxiliary during Volunteer Week. Volunteer Week begins with a coffee, followed by a balloon release. Later in the week, the volunteers are honored with a banquet and an awards ceremony. Our volunteers are very special people.
