Biography

Dr. Muhammad Asim is board certified in Gastroenterology by American board of internal medicine. Dr. Asim has done internal medicine internship at University of South Dakota, Sioux Falls, SD and internal medicine residency at University of Oklahoma, college of medicine, Tulsa, OK in 1997. He then practiced internal medicine for 8 years. In 2006 he went to University of Tennessee at Memphis, TN for gastroenterology fellowship and is now practicing gastroenterology and hepatology at Wise regional health system, Decatur, TX. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopies, ERCP for liver and pancreatic diseases, small bowel capsule endoscopy, esophageal pH studies with Bravo probe etc.
