Dialysis can be a difficult process, so we want to make sure you feel at home. We understand the difficulties, discomfort and time associated with dialysis treatment so we aim to make your treatment sessions as convenient and worry-free as possible.
The recently expanded dialysis center offers 24 comfortable treatment areas with the latest technology and advanced equipment. Each station is equipped with its own television and headphones to make your time with us more comfortable.
The Dietary Services and Social Services department from Wise Regional Health System will also assist you in managing your condition through diet and planning.
David’s story – A Patients Perspective
It’s Monday afternoon, and just like every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, David is receiving dialysis treatment at the Wise Regional Dialysis Center. While trying to relax and not focus on the next four hours, he talks to his nurse about his precious grandchildren. You should see how that little one is learning to walk, and the oldest will be graduating from college soon, he says.
“This is like my second family”, says David. “They care about me and want to make me as comfortable as possible.”
Knowing the services you need are available so close to home provides peace of mind. “I used to have to drive 45 minutes one way to have my treatments, now I can relax knowing I don’t have the extra hassle of so much time spent on the road when I’m already so exhausted,” David said.
