Physical Therapy

At Fit-N-Wise Physical Therapy at Wise Regional Health System, we have specially-trained physical therapists with extensive training in men’s health who develop programs specifically for men and their special needs through physical therapy assessment, treatment and education. Our therapists can help you restore healthy movement, function and comfort so you can feel good and focus on the important things in your life. (Referral from physician required.)

Heart Health

Most think of coronary artery disease when they think of heart related illness in men, however there are many conditions cardiovascular disease can affect.

Most individuals with coronary artery disease, the leading cause of heart attacks, show no evidence of the disease for decades, often the first sign is a “sudden” heart attack. CAD (Coronary Artery Disease) can be defined as plaque build up and narrowing of your arteries, also called atherosclerosis. These plaques are made of fat, cholesterol and calcium. Using noninvasive heart scanning techniques, Wise Regional Health System, measures the amount of calcium in the walls of your coronary arteries. Calcium along the walls of arteries that supply blood to your heart could mean you have coronary artery disease. Wise Regional has earned a Gold Seal as a CT Accredited Facility and is also a Chest Pain Center Accredited Hospital.
