Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic therapy is a useful tool for providing therapy assistance for patients with a variety of medical conditions, including patients with arthritis, those healing from broken bones or who are overweight. The buoyancy of the water supports the patient’s weight, decreasing the force on the joints while providing excellent resistance for strength training. In addition, the warm water of therapy pools assists in muscle relaxation and dilates blood vessels which increases blood flow to injured areas, helping them heal faster.
The 750-square-foot, wheelchair accessible therapy pool and 25-meter lap pool allows our certified aquatic therapists to treat a wide range of patients, helping them to increase strength, decrease pain and improve function.
